Diphthongs:
Repeating a consonant signifies an emphasize that is called “tashdid”.
Persian Vowels:
Using Liaison: a “y” is inserted between two independent vowels to make them readable. “Xaane e man” becomes "Xaane ye man"
Well Pronounced Syllables: Persian words are pronounced with distinguishable syllables. Let’s try some English words that have been used in Persian in this way:
Length of syllables: Short syllables = one short vowel + one consonant Long syllables = one long vowel + any number of consonants attached to that vowel This distinction becomes very important once we get to Persian verse.
